The second largest COVID-19 stimulus legislation to date, the American Rescue Plan, offers widespread relief for individuals and businesses. From the extension and enhancement of the Employee Retention tax credit, to the restaurant revitalization grant program, and the lengthening of a credit for certain types of leave and temporary COBRA subsidies, there are several provisions to unpack and consider as part of your 2021 planning. Our team will profile notable provisions from the American Rescue Plan to help you and your business take advantage of the changes from the 2021 stimulus law.

After attending this webinar discussion, you will be able to:

  • List the significant tax credits and benefits for individuals, including enhancements to the child tax credit and the child and dependent care credit
  • Explain the latest expansion of the Employee Retention Tax Credit and the implication for future use
  • Discuss the provisions that affect leave, including the temporary 100% COBRA subsidy for individuals involuntarily terminated or who had hours reduced
  • Describe how the American Rescue Plan affects single-employer and multi-employer pension plans
